Winter at Lipno
Lipno also has a very active winter season. There is a ski slope with a chairlift and a popular snowboard school not far from the resort. The Lipno winter track is also very well-known and appreciated - a paradise for cross-country skiers, who can go cross-country skiing on the frozen lake and the surrounding hills and enjoy the fresh winter air of Sumava.
Cross-country skiing
Between Lipno nad Vltavou and Frymburk there are almost 40 kilometres of regularly maintained trails for cross-country skiing.
Skiing and snowboarding
The Lipno Ski Resort offers recreational skiing on more than 11.8 km of groomed slopes with a modern snowmaking system. You can also visit a six hundred meter freestyle snowboard and freeskiing park with a popular snowboard school.

The world's longest natural ice skating track measures over 11 kilometres long, is 6.8 metres wide - and can be enjoyed as soon as the lake freezes to a sufficient thickness.
